Bem-vindo · Welcome

A home on the water, not a hotel

Amazon Ariaú Nativos House is exactly that — a house. Levir was born on this very spot and has spent his whole life on the river. Together with Josiene and their daughter Alice, he opens their home and their 400 hectares of protected forest to families who want to feel the Amazon, not just see it.

You'll eat what the river gives, fall asleep to the sound of the forest, and wake to birdsong over black water. It is simple, genuine, and unforgettable — the Amazon as the people who live here know it.

Just 1h30 from Manaus by road or boat — yet a world away, wonderfully quiet and deep in the forest.

Why families love it here

Real Amazon, gently done

Family hosts

Levir, Josiene and Alice look after you personally. Kids are family here — theirs and yours.

Sleep over the river

Simple, clean wooden rooms on stilts above the water — with air conditioning and hammocks for the heat of the day.

Guided by a native son

Every trail and channel is Levir's backyard. He reads the forest like a book and loves sharing it.

400 hectares of forest

The family protects a vast slice of living rainforest — and every visit helps keep it standing.

Two rivers, two adventures

The Amazon changes with the water

The river rises and falls many metres across the year, and the whole forest transforms with it. Whenever you come, there's a different kind of magic waiting.

The Flooded Forest

The river swallows the forest floor and you glide by boat and canoe between the treetops. The best time for wildlife — monkeys, sloths, birds and pink dolphins come close.

Rivers & Beaches

The waters drop to reveal white river beaches and sandbanks. It's the season for fishing, swimming and exploring the jungle on foot along forest trails.

Life at Amazon Ariaú

Low-impact by nature

Tourism that keeps the forest standing

Amazon Ariaú Nativos House isn't built on the forest — it's built with it. Everything here is made from local wood, on stilts above the water, so the river can rise and fall as it always has. When you stay, you become part of the reason 400 hectares of rainforest stay wild.

How the family protects it →

Built from the forest

Local timber, thatch and stilts — no concrete, light on the land.

Wildlife first

Quiet, respectful excursions — we watch animals, never disturb them.

A living community

Your visit directly supports a Ribeirinho family and their way of life.
